while shri ram sena are attacking pubs in mangalore , saying it is against our 'sanskriti' for women to go to pubs , there is sexual harrasment going on in offices all across the country ... 1 question ... were there pubs in prehistoric times as in was there a TGIF in hastinapur , which was probably called 'shukra hai aaj shukravaar hai' or something ... ? .. where in the vedas is it mentioned that women cant go to pubs , who are these modern day goons to decide , what women can and cannot do ? .. and is it mentioned anywhere in their manuscripts , that harassing women sexually is a good thing ?

lets face the fact , indians are one of the most sexually starved species in the world ... they can literally rape a woman with their eyes ! .. office is supposed to be a place where people come to make a living , to make a career . girls from all over the country come to other towns to make something happen in their lives . women are supposed to be respected , not seen as a mere object , but these are bookish things as far as women in india are concerned . just today , a female friend of mine was complaining about this guy , who was getting too friendly with her . what is in the minds of these people , just cos she is friendly with me , doesn't mean that she should be the same with everyone ? i must admit that sometimes even i get involved in talks about girls in office , with the other guys , but i definitely know my limits and where to stop .

my advice to these female attention craving guys is to know your limits , when talking to a girl , or interacting with her , cos you might think that you acting macho/funny is totally hitting on with the girl , but 99 % of the times you are actually making yourselves look like a jackass to the girls . i just cant believe how people cannot read the signs when a woman is not interested in talking to them , they just blabber on and on and on .... cant really blame it on these guys also , most of the people in the IT industry are from small towns , where talking to a girl or being friends with one is seen an achievement , none less than winning the academy award . these girls who are the victims of harassment at work should in fact report any such incident to the HR , major or minor so that at least these starved male coworkers are at least afraid of the consequences of their actions .

im sick of this weird trend in our country .... some people say that the caste system has been abolished now ... you know ,,, the thing that used to take place in the pauraanik kaal or something .... naai ka bacha naai banega , brahmin ka bacha brahmin ... thousands of years down the line ,,, have we really moved on ?

yesterday some news channel was showing a brief summary of what mr.dharmendar has done , since he was elected the MP from bikaner in rajasthan . let alone caring for the people of his constituency , he hasnt even been there once since being elected to parliament . people like him and his sons make me believe in the 'lucky sperm' theory ! he doesnt give a damn about his constituency , and on top of that mr.d(haram) is giving statements like "aap kya chaahate hain main wahaan ja ke jhaadu lagaaun , roti banaaun ?" ... wtf jackasss , dont you have a liability towards the people who voted you into the parliament in the first place ? same applies for mr.macho man of yesteryears , vinod khanna . though i am very proud to say that he is an alumni of our school , but that doesnt change the fact that he has done shit for his constituency gurdaspur , since being elected MP from there . all these guys can think about is a lavish home in leutyen's delhi , dinners at india international centre , plays at india habitat centre .. and maybe shitting at india international toilet or something .... whatever happened to the non glamorous things associated with being a big shot politician ? like actually thinking about how to develop your area , how to improve the educational facilities in that area and being proudly able to say that my area has shown the most major development in the last 5 years ... no sir ! , they care a crap about all this .

in the contemporary indian society business , politics and bollywood have together led to the formation of a society where you can say , the rich will keep getting richer .. power and money go hand in hand . if you have power , you are bound to make some big bucks , and the vice versa is ... ohhhh so true ! the kapoors for example , the first family of bollywood or whatever (balls !!! ... whatever) . raj kapoor was the showman , no doubt about it .... what amazes me is that his family has made movies into a sort of family business . honestly speaking there are a lot of talented kids out there who are taking professional acting courses and stuff , to reach the point where the likes of kareena kapoor can just take their lazy bums , without making any real effort.then there is the kid's favourite , hrithik roshan (remember the ad , hrithik hrithik mujhe aapse milna hai!!) . for all his biceps and green eyes or purple testicles or whatever , the man knows shit about acting . if he thinks he is the al pacino of india or something after doing movies like 'main prem ki deewani huun' , well he can just take his 11th finger up his diamond studded butt. then there are the likes of herman baweja , dancing with robots in 2050 . bollywood has become something of a place , where you just need a good face , a hot bod ... and acting toh dheere dheere saare seekh he lenge ! i know shah rukh has many critics in the industry , but hats off to the man , for making it this big on his own . he didnt have any contacts or daddies launching him and stuff . what he managed was totally on his own .

what if similar sort of thing happened in hollywood ? .... brad pitt ka bacha would have been launched in his uncle tom cruise's production ... there is no place for talent in bollywood ... just contacts ... come to think of it , do the likes of zaayed khan , fardheen khan and i dunno who all khan have it in them to be actors on their own ? ... ney i dun think so ... they are all there because of daddy dearest .... that guy herman baweja , sucks donkey balls man as anybody whos seen love story 2050 will tell you ! the movie would've been better off , had they taken another robot in his place ! lately sanjay dutt joins politics ... wow ! he might be a good actor , a good person or whatever , but does that make him a good politician ??? .... dude ! what about those people who have been involved in active politics since their student life , studied politics ... they aint capable politicians , just cos they are not famous ? ... what kind of an ideology are we following in this country ?

there are endless examples like these which suggest that if you aint born with a silver spoon in your mouth , you gotta work hard for a living !

its a passion , it is not a timepass for me

if playing an imaginary guitar is not enough , people make up imaginary bands they were part of

Gentlemen , welcome to fight club

have you guys seen the movie - fight club ... yeah , english waali ! .. this is one of my all time favourite movies ... well , my office almost , if not exactly ,,, but almost resembles a 'fight club' .

Well , lets see where the similarities start ...

The first rule of fight club is , "you do not talk about fight club" ...
Pretty true , no matter what sort of problems you are having with your boss , you are not supposed to make it public .

The second rule of fight club is , "you do not talk about fight club" ...
Dont let anyone know that you just had a heated argument with your boss yesterday , regarding anything ranging from "mujhe onsite bhejo" to "main jaldi nahi aa sakta".

Third rule , "When someone says stop , or goes limp , even if he's just faking it , the fight is over" ....
Well , if your boss gives a fake smile , but he's really determined to screw your life from the inside , then you've still got to give up the fight , even though you know , its not really over .

Fourth rule , "Only two guys a fight"...
Pretty true in our case too, cos' if your boss has singled you out for something that happened like 10 million light years ago (yeah yeah , pun intended !! ) ... still he's gonna be taking your case till you eventually disappear.

Fifth rule , "One fight at a time" ...
Not really true , everyone seems to be fighting with each other all the time ... as some geeky jerks in my team would joke about it , "multi-threading ho rahi hai" ... "hahahahhaha" . Not Funny.

Sixth rule , "No shirts , no shoes" ...
Well we can relate to this point also , when someone wants a piece of you , they just forget that they are in a place called office , and attack you like a hungry animal ... so yeah animals i.e no shirts , no shoes ... got the point ?

Seventh rule , "Fights will go on , as long as they have to"...
Pretty true , but the only twist is , no matter how good you are , or how much you work , fights will go on as long as your boss wants them to go on ...

The last rule , "This is your first night at fight club , you have to fight" ...
After some time everyone figures out , that they are being treated unfairly , and eventually everyone starts fighting .

Monday !!!

Is it just me or anyone else feels the monday morning blues ?
All the office hodge podge again , all weird kinds of news

8-30 in the morning , sleepy eyes , trying to figure out what to do
Forward mails galore to read , project related stuff in between , far and few

Same old coffee mug , same old machine in the lab
Still remember the first day , when worked seemed to be so fab !

10 months down the line , things have become monotonous
attitude has become like "yeah yeah .. whatever" , and I cant figure out , whats all the fuss ?

Project , Project ,,, this seems to be all there is to people's lives
people getting so involved in it , to the extent of ignoring their families , and consequently getting scolded by their wives :P

This ain't the way I thought work was done , Oh my god , I was so wrong
Ever since I joined up , lifes been like a never ending sad song

Hope this hectic routine ends a.s.a.p , I have better things to do you know !
Waiting for the time someone officially says "its over" , and I'll be waiting to run away ... Ready Steady ,,, go !!!

I know I sound like too much of a pessimist , but what else can I do ?
Thanks to a couple of friends here , who keep giving me the courage , to make it through ... !
